For sale a ratty reliable renault for sale, it runs has mot until November and the mileage is just under 153,000 miles. Car is currently sorned (since 1st. April).
Last guy bought it off a forecourt, used it for his building company and then bought a van. Interior was trashed when I got it, I put in leather seats and a carpet.
Recent new rear exhaust, new starter motor, battery, engine mount, wiper blades and fan motor. Since owning this car, I have made several oil changes, oil filters, cabin pollen filter, brake disks and brakes, steering track rods, alternator, wiper linkage repair, fixed rear lights. It has also had a brake line repair and rear exhaust box.
It has an aftermarket Pioneer cd/mp3 headunit with usb input and uprated pioneer rear speakers.
Issues:
- clutch pedal has short travel, like 1 inch, though it's been like that ever since i have owned the car. New clutch kit is included.
- Heater does not blow hot, radiator needs flushing, rad flush is included, I think there is a faulty rad fan relay, radiator fan works but doesn't always turn on.
- paint is bad, on the bonnet thanks to some lazy builders, also paint scratches, paint peeling on various areas of the car, but no rust.
- 2 tyres will need replacing soon, it was the only advisory on the last mot.
- drivers window is getting stuck, glass was replaced and now only goes down a few inches.
- Rear seats need a long screwdriver to release/remove, as the handles break, a common problem with these cars.
- aircon does not hold a charge, I have only tried one of those kits, maybe it needs more than one can.
- Drivers seat has a split in the base at the side.
Having pointed out all the issues, I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. I have only broken down twice in 4 years, once for a flat battery and another time the starter motor was stuck.
Can carry most things, like a double bed, furniture, etc.
Comes with new clutch kit, some spares and parts, but mostly small parts.
