This is a GENUINE vintage midsized Oris watch – all original! Not an easy thing to find on Ebay these days as many of these old Oris watches are being faked with gaudy dials, thin chrome cases and generic low performance manual calibres. This, folks IS the real deal!!!

 

This is a 1975 MIDSIZE (31mms not including the crown) Oris manual winding timepiece with the in-house 715 7 Jewel version movement. Oris remain a great force in the watch world and have an enduring presence in the market since they were re-launched in the 90’s with their Formula 1 watches. This winds and works, keeping decent time so far – within 2 minutes a day at least, if not better. I have no service history with it so always a good idea to get it done. It has been fitted with a brand new 16mm black leather strap.

 

 

Dial

Signed ORIS at the top and SWISS MADE at the very bottom – the backdrop is a lovely MIDNIGHT BLUE which a subtle radial sunburst texture and iridescence. There is a date aperture at the 3 position and it turns over in sequence as it should.

 

Case

This is the classic retro TV STYLE rectangular case – fully signed on the back for the Oris watch Company – chrome bezel, steel back.

 

 

Movement

The inhouse Oris made 715 manual winding calibre with 7 jewels – currently working well and keeping decent time. A service is always recommended.

 

 

It measures :   31mms without the crown

 

 

Condition : this is in original condition with some patination around the formerly luminescent hour dots and some gradual paint lift at the very edges. The case is in good condition with no visual rubbing to the chrome, only light age-related wear evident. The crystal is good with some light surface marks if you look hard enough but can be fully polished if desired. Will benefit from a good clean.
