LR (Le Rapide) 'PRIMAGAZ' BOGIE TANK CAR.
Manufactured by LR Louis Roussy of Paris, circa 1947. For the Le Rapide range of O gauge trains.
In terms of quality & choice the LR product range was probably at its height in the late 40's - early 50's.
LR products do not turn up very often in Britain & this is a particularly fine example.
Turned timber tank & saddles, pressed steel chassis mounted on diecast bogies with steel wheel sets.
Enamelled finish in white & black with transfer lettering for 'Primagaz'.
Appears to be unused old shop stock with original prices ticket still attached.
There are a couple of very minor storage blemishes; the 'LR' on one saddle is scuffed & two dark spots to the tank top.
Near mint in original box with missing flaps to one end.
