For your consideration is a 1983, Specialized Stumpjumper Mountain Bike. According to the Museum of Mountain Bike Art and Technology(mombatbicycles.com):

"Specialized introduced the Stumpjumper in late 1981 as a 1982 model year bike. 1983, the second production year, brought on a few changes. Since mountain biking was becoming more popular, companies were introducing ATB-specific parts. Gone were the French touring bike TA cranks and MAFAC brakes to be replaced with a Sugino crank and Shimano Deore XT brakes. This one also uses a lugged frame as opposed to the earlier TIG welded version.  These bikes were still being made in batches and spec likely changed from batch to batch based on new parts and parts availability."

The components on these earlier batched(small production run) Mountain Bikes were often "pieced together" because at the time parts manufactures did not have a pre planned stock of parts that would be allocated for these bikes.  In other-wards mid batch a component may of ran out and another component substituted. So there are multiple build ups of this year bike. That being said to the best of my knowledge this bike has all the original components on it.

When you start to search around(like I did) you will realize there are very few of these Second Production Year, Specialized Stumpjumpers, with original components on the market. They are in museums or private bike collections but not for sale.
