Presented is an American helmet form silver creamer from the 1780s-1790s,
perhaps even until the first decade of the 1800s. The rim, the top of the base
and the junction of the base and body all have a matching classical beaded
design. The bottom of the base is square. Handle is urn style. Very simple and
elegant piece.
This creamer is in fabulous condition. The inside is absolutely clean, and
you can clearly see the hand-hammering from when this piece was formed. There
are some slight dings on the body, but nothing significant to be called a dent.
Please view the photos. There are no dents, no cracks, no repairs, no monograms,
no monogram removals, no problems whatsoever.
The piece stands 6 1/4 inches tall.
The creamer weighs 177 grams or 6.19 ounces.
