Fine Antique late 1800s-early 1900s Austrian Silver Tall Teapot / Coffee Pot

Presented is a fantastic quality antique Austrian silver teapot, dating to the
late 1800s or early 1900s. The pot is made in a classical almost pear shaped
form, similar to earlier Queen Anne style teapots. The handle and spout are both
done in very graceful style, while the lid is a side-hinged design that closes
almost invisibly, leaving the lines of the pot sleek and clean. The pot has a
capacity of about 2 ½ cups (20 fluid ounces/591 milliliters).

The pot is hallmarked behind the handle with a maker's mark of JCK, the
Austrian 'Dianakopf' hallmark guaranteeing at least 800 purity silver, and
another mark, possibly an import/export mark. The foot has the Austrian hallmark
again, as does the lid, which also has the maker's mark JCK.

This piece is in great overall condition. There's a small ding near the base
of the spout, which is not very noticeable. The handle is in great shape and
well attached. There are no splits, no dents, no leaks, no monograms, no
monogram removals, and no repairs.

This pot stands about 7 5/8 inches tall and measures about 7 1/8 inches from
spout to handle, or about 4 inches wide.

This piece weighs 426 grams or 15.0 regular ounces.
