Presented is a handsome old Sheffield fused plate salver tray. The oval tray is raised up on four threaded legs and has a thick applied rim of gadrooned decoration. A sterling silver cartouche has been applied at the center of the piece and framed with a wreath of engraved leaves. The gadroon rim along the top edge is applied sterling silver, common for old Sheffield fused plate.

The tray is not marked, as is typical of old Sheffield fused plate. This tray was made between 1780 to 1815. Approximately 200 years old.

The tray is in good condition overall, especially considering its age. There are a couple of dents where two of the legs have been pushed up a bit, and there are some other smaller dents and dings here and there. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.

The tray measures 9 inches by 12 1/4 inches and 1 1/4 inches tall.
