The perfect small vise for a luthier / guitar builder / or other fine work.

This is a Chicago-era Wilton Toddler bullet vise with 2 and 1/2 inch jaw width. Makes a great vise for fine work, including jewelery, crafts, luthier, gunsmith....a great size for many finer applications.

The key has a date code of 1973, but it is well known that the chicago era bodies were made around 1950 and stored for later assembly.  "Chicago" lettering is present on both sides of the vise.

The entire vise, including jaws, disassembles easily, in the event that there is other work or maintenance, or refinishing you want to do on it. The philips screws holding the jaws are all free.

This vise has been VERY carefully cleaned and any remaining factory paint was left intact.  All signs of handling - part of its history - were also left intact.  There are normal signs of light normal usage but nothing serious...the vise is rock solid, and cleaner than most, with no repairs or cracks.  Original jaw faces are REALLY nice with few indentations as you often see.

The vise opens and closes well (you should add grease to the screw, oil the horseshoe washer, and add oil to the bar when you receive it).

The handle that turns the screw is original and has a "microscopic" bend in it....barely noticeable.

Every piece is original, including the way-cool lockdowns.  Base is in great shape with no cracks, chips, or repairs.  The inside ring in the base is perfect.

Anvil shows some signs of use.

End cap of the bullet is in place. Shows original gray paint.

Just a really nice example of the 2.5" toddler, with some normal expected light signs of usage.

The Wilton vises are so fantastic to have in your shop....the best of our earlier manufacturing era.
