A marvelous, frosty gem that appears to be much nicer than MS65. Perhaps the somewhat mottled toning through them off, but this does not seem fair considering the beautiful iridescent hues, bright luster, and outstanding surfaces.

An intriguing die variety, believed to be the prototype design. The Friendly Eagle is missing the menacing eye brow seen on ALL other Ike dollar dies. Also, the craters and other details are more detailed and distinct; note the longer lines that flank both sides of the L in DOLLAR. These are said to show the Apollo re-entry vehicle entering earth’s atmosphere. The V-shaped depression shows at the top-left of Earth, under the E in UNITED.
