Presented is a fine set of 10 American coin silver teaspoons made by Gale & Hayden of New York city in 1847. This set is in the classical Fiddle Thread pattern and the back of each spoon has an old, flowing monogram of the initials
JD.

The back of each spoon bears the Gale & Hayden hallmark and the date 1847. These spoons are guaranteed to be coin silver purity.

This set is in excellent overall condition. There is minor wear to the bowls commensurate with age and use but there are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

Each spoon measures 5 5/8 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 306 grams or 10.8 ounces.
