Georg Jensen 1255A Sterling Silver Early Georgian Repro c1720 Tall Coffeepot

Presented is a rare, sterling silver coffeepot made by Georg Jensen around the mid to late 1900s. This piece is a reproduction of an early Georgian, 18th century piece. The rounded body is raised on a foot rim and the handle as well as the finial are wood. The coffeepot has a Gothic style monogram of the letter C. This is a fine quality piece with good weight for its size.

The underside is marked Georg Jensen and sterling silver. This piece was part of a larger tea and coffee set, which we have broken up to sell the pieces individually. The teapot in this set had a mark on the underside stating that it was a reproduction of a piece from 1720. We have shown this hallmark in the last photograph.

This piece is in great overall condition.

The coffeepot measures 8 7/8 inches from handle to spout and is 8 1/4 inches tall.

Weight: 714 grams or 1.6 pounds.

Capacity: 3 1/2 cups or about 830 milliliters.
