Stichtite is a mineral, a carbonate of chromium and magnesiumThis crystal is also commonly referred to as Tasmanite, due to some of the very first known pieces coming out of Tasmania. Its colour ranges from pink through lilac to a rich purple. Stichtite is formed as an alteration product of chromite. 

The mineral is believed to be a stone of rescue, recovery and forgiveness. The gemstone is thought to help heal unresolved issues and emotional issues by promoting feelings of love and compassion.
