WOODEN LAST/TREE

One pair of antique original Wooden Shoe Lasts made by the Court Bootmaker Joseph Box. Each shoe bears a round disc identifying the Shoemaker as Joseph Box. Court Bootmaker. 

Wood type unknown to the Seller but light in colour and still bearing a sheen. Sole and heel portion of the shoe joined by metal hinge allowing 90 degree movement. Each heel surmounted by a stout, possibly brass, metal ring. Seller has no knowledge as to why the wooden pieces are shaped as they are or  if they are intended for male/female. No discernible damage/repair/woodworm. 

Approx Measurements are as follows: Entire length of Sole and Heel 10" (25.5cm)
