For sale is an interesting double sided eggcup made of porcelain in the 18th or early 19th century I would guesstimate. Likely of French / Paris origin but could also be German or even Belgian . Definitely reminds me of Saint Cloud but it is hard paste or some sort of hybrid instead of soft paste porcelain. Thick glaze with tiny bubbles in it and a brownish translucency. The piece has a simple relief decoration to the outside with a blue ring along both ends that ran a bit during the firing process. The egg cup is in great condition with just flaws from when it was made like tiny impurities and it not being perfectly round plus a glaze miss on the inside which has turned dark over time. Maybe someone out there has an idea on the maker. The piece is 3 inches tall and it has a diameter of about 1.75 inches. Ei Becher
