For sale is a figurine of a shepherdess made by Hochst around 1775 . She is sitting on a rock base with a lamb by her side that she is petting while holding some flowers in her raised hand. Nice dress and hat. The figurine is about 4.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue wheel with crown over it mark (sorry about the blurry pic I can send others if needed!) The figurine is in great condition with two large chips to her hat which look to have been restored with lots of over paint underneath that needs to be cleaned off. An easy fix if need be! A firing crack in part of her left sleeve/arm interface, a tiny chip to that sleeve edge and a tiny chip to the right front hoof of the sheep neither of which is obvious even when looking for them. 18th century antique Schaeferin German Germany
