Sold as a set, both with visible handmade seams and hinged brass handles with wood. Condition is very good with minor dents and patina as expected from age and use. Both are water tight.

The larger coal skuttle (coal hod or pail) measures 12 ½” high to the top of the handle, 9 ½” to top of lip, 8 ½” front to back, 7 ¼” wide and has a 6” diameter foot.

The smaller skuttle is 8” high to the top of the handle, 5 ¾” to top of lip, 6 ½” front to back, 5” wide with a 3 3/8” diameter foot.

These are great fireplace accents and holders for matches, fire starters, etc. They also make dramatic flower arrangement holders or creative containers for gift giving. Christmas cookies?
