I'm auctioning a lot of my Krav Maga DVDs as I need the space. Up for auction is “Krav Maga Defense Against Knife” by Chief instructors of the World Krav Maga Federation. This is the original retail DVD and box with slip cover artwork. This DVD is produced by I-Prod who ceased producing martial arts training DVDs last year so this DVD is now out of print.
The World Krav Maga Association (WKMF) is one of the largest Krav Maga Associations in Europe. Its Chief Instructors are primarily law enforcement personnel with responsibilities for tactical defensive training to elite Police units across Europe.
Defending yourself against a knife is probably one of the deadliest forms of self-defense, other than facing a firearms threat, you are ever likely to meet.
In this DVD WKMF Chief instructors from France, Belgium, Italy, Germany & Spain demonstrate how to effectively & appropriately to defend yourself against all manners of knife threats and attacks. Studying these techniques could make the difference between serious injury, death or survival during a knife assault.
You will also be shown how to use your environment effectively in countering knife attacks. This included using architectural structures such as using a car to create a barrier between your opponent and using improvised weapons such as your jacket, a pen, your keys and other common objects that can help you deal with the unbalanced confrontation with an aggressor armed with a knife. Also presented are bare hand techniques covering a variety of knife threat and attack scenarios including standing attacks, attacks while sitting and attacks in the prone position when the fight goes to the ground. All directions of attack are covered including attacks coming from the front, from the side or from behind, how to defend another person, how to react against a knife threat to the throat, to the face, to the chest, to the abdomen and to the groin.
The purpose of these techniques is obviously to survive a threat or an attack but also to lower the probability of getting hurt as much as possible, by showing you how to make the right decision and take as little risk as you can.
This is probably one of the most comprehensive knife defense DVDs on the market. Not only are Krav Maga techniques created from commonly reported attacks but they are under continual review and refinement. All of the techniques shown in this DVD have been developed by experience law enforcement instructors from actual experience in countering knife attacks and from continual feedback for law enforcement officers across Europe who have faced and survived knife attacks in the course of their duties.
