This is Ford’s Halo car. Any Ford GT is highly collectible and was nearly impossible to get new from Ford. The Heritage edition cars, with only 50 made each year, were the most sought after and have always been the most highly valued, with the Gulf Heritage Edition at the very top of the food chain. This car is the last Ford GT Heritage Edition that was built in 2020, making it the VERY LAST GULF HERITAGE FORD GT EVER BUILT as documented by Ford.
The Ford GT has a carbon fiber passenger shell, including body panels, doors, hood, fenders, front and rear facias and underbody aero-shields. The car includes an integrated tubular steel roll cage as well. The 2020 model is the ultimate iteration of the Gulf Heritage edition, and includes the black pinstriping to separate the blue and orange, which is a great upgrade from the2019 model.
The engine is Ford’s mid-mounted 3.5LV6 EcoBoost twin-turbo, making 660 horsepower and built by Roush Racing. Transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch shifted with paddles, and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes provide the stopping power.
New for 2020 is a titanium exhaust system for an even better engine sound. The car has a push button activated front lift system and includes skid plates under the front spoiler to protect from road rash.
Performance numbers include 0-62 mphin 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 215 mph.
The car is optioned with the $20,000 Exposed Carbon Fiber Wheels in addition to the optional 69Heritage Roundel Graphics Package. This car has a full-body clear wrap done by Ghost Shield in Newbury Park, California, including the vehicle underbelly.
