Sporting a chromium cover by the very talented George Perez(Avengers, The New Teen Titans, Wonder Woman), Malibu’s Genesis, a spinoff from a six-part crossover saga, features short stories designed to introduce readers to the publisher’s stable of characters. Included is the vigilante Widowmaker, the crusading Ex-Mutants, the hilarious Dinosaurs For Hire, and the archetypal super-hero team called the Protectors. While much of what’s here is typical comic book fare, the Dinosaurs For Hire story is a knee-slappingly funny parody of the origin of the Fantastic Four drawn by the legendary Curt Swan(Superman).
