Here is a Fluke 8505A digital multimeter. This is basically a 6.5 digit meter, but it will display 7.5 digits on the 10V DCV range when averaging is on.
This comes with a full complement of option boards, as can be seen in one of the pictures. Some of the plastic cases are broken on these, as usual.
This nearly works !
There is a strange fault in that the current board needs to be unplugged for the ohms ranges to work. The current measurements are fine, but some sort of leakage from the current module is upsetting resistance measurements.
I've shown the resistance measurement working in one of the pictures, the one with the current board sitting on top. The picture of the meter saying "Error H" is what it does if resistance is selected with the current board fitted.
As far as I can tell this is accurate. I tried to show this in the pictures but I did not notice that my camera had missed out digits until I had put the meter away.
Shows some wear but the switches and the display are fine. The base feet are missing, and two of the rear ones are broken.
I will need your email address to book a shipment, after a recent upgrade eBay no longer provides these to the seller.
Terms and Conditions.
Some
buyers are reporting that eBay says that I do not allow the combining
of shipment on multiple purchases. This is not correct. I do. In this
case either wait until I send you an invoice or pay the full cost and I
will refund the difference after shipment.
The
same applies if the shipping cost I have estimated is too high. If I
have overcharged you I will return the difference after shipping.
I list everything as "for parts or not working" to avoid problems with
buyers who do not understand old test equipment. Under eBay rules if I
list something as "used" then I have to take it back if it does not
perform as new. Most of the equipment I sell is quite old so I am not
prepared to guarantee it in this way. There are many dealers on eBay
who will guarantee equipment but their prices are normally higher than
mine. Normally the equipment I sell is working. I won't say something
works unless I have tested it fully. If I can't
test it fully I will say so.
All items are complete as far as I
know unless stated otherwise although I don't open them up and look for
missing bits. If a particular option board or part is important to you
then please ask before bidding.
No accessories, probes or cables
are included unless specifically mentioned in the listing. I do not
normally supply standard mains cables, if you want one with this let me
know.
Shipment price is for shipment to mainland UK by insured
courier unless stated otherwise. If you want it sent anywhere else
please ask for a price before bidding. Ignore the price eBay gives for
overseas postage, this is just an estimate. If you are outside mainland
GB then please wait for me to send an invoice before paying. Ebay
insists I enter a postage cost but doesn't understand that shipment
costs to different parts of the world are not always the same.
Before
complaining about the shipping price please bear in mind that eBay now
take 10% of this, more if you pay by PayPal. The cost of packing
materials also needs to come out of this charge. I don't use cheap, unreliable couriers, I use the post office for small packages and UPS or similar for larger ones.
You
are welcome to use your own courier service to collect from me provided
you pay by a method other than paypal. For big or heavy items there
may be a small charge for packing.
If you want to collect this item then please pay cash on collection.
I
will combine shipment if you buy more than one item. provided the box
doesn't get too large or heavy. Contact me for more details on this.
