A Really Good Looking Camphor Wood Box

An Oriental Chest

A really good quality trunk

In a lighter finish with lighter carved detailing

It has intricate carving to the top and front of a traditional Chinese boats and temples

The ends are plain except for nicely carved finger holes for lifting the box

It has a brass clasp fitting to the front

Its in great condition for its age

I believe it’s probably mid century

It’s very clean inside and also has a removable tray

I’ve given it a polish and it’s come up really well as you will see and has amazing character 

Would suit many different surroundings

The more I look at this chest the more I’m impressed with it

Items to note 

As with all items of age they can show signs of ware and use but also have character that you will not always find in newer pieces 

The trunk is in really good overall condition overall

There are a few ware marks on the top toward the front edge ( see photos )

There are a few little marks here and there due to age and use but overall it’s in very good condition

Overall a super looking super looking trunk

The box is located near Beauly in the Highlands and can be viewed and collected from here or I can deliver anywhere within mainland UK for £40
