LTV, Ling-Temco-Vought A7 Corsair II the best of the last from Vought.

A7 SLUF offered a lot of new avionics, included data link capabilities, Nav system could fly the aircraft "hands off" to 9x waypoints. And for the Navy provided fully "hands-off" carrier landings.

LTV A7D – USAF Corsair II included APN-185 nav & APQ-126 TF radar PMDS and HUD + 1x M61 Vulcan 20mm and Allison TF41-A-1 turbofan engine (Rolls-Royce Spey). A7Ds were assigned the "Sandy mission" air cover for Combat SAR missions.

A7 was second only to B52 in the amount and level of accuracy, of ordnance dropped on Hanoi.

LTV A7E – US Navy ‘SLUF’ - APN-190 nav & APQ-128 TF radar. A7E's could haul double the loadout of an A4E Skyhawk, over twice the distance.

The A7E mined Haiphong harbor in 1972, and played a vital role in Operations Linebacker I and Linebacker II that led up to the formal end of US involvement in the Vietnam War on 24 January 1973.
