Guatamala, pre-columbian? pottery bat & bead necklace, Halloween

This is a rare piece. Accompanying documentation says "pre-columbian?". Halloween? Guatemala bought in 1960's by family member who is deceased and have no additional information.

Primitive bat and beads appears to be baked pottery, brown in color (see photos for bat & strung beads length approx 18.5" long without bat). Beads may have been used for trading. 25 plain beads & 26 decorated beads (see photos for beads decoration). Beads are strung on a cotton like string and the necklace will need to be restrung.  Bat has hole to string with beads (see photo). Could restring necklace and display in shadow picture frame.
