It features a pendulum, gong, an 8-day mechanism, and a half-hour chime sequence. This mechanical clock was made by the Metropolitan Manufacturing Company in the United States in New York in 1885. The hour hand is missing, as is the glass face cover.

There is also no key included, but I did test this with another key and the clock runs very smoothly and chimes nicely. Overall a wonderful clock for being 139 years old!!
