Album belonged to a man who served with the Luftwaffe . A good number of the photos feature service on the Eastern Front 1943-44 .

There are a good number of nice quality photographs which were taken at former Soviet Airfield at Pribytki , just south of Gomel , Belarus .

Luftwaffe make use of the airfield . But as the Soviets advance , the airfield is systematically wrecked , many photos show buildings being destroyed with high explosives , while others are set alight .

There are photos of high ranking officers who visited the base ...including several of Field Marshal kesselring and Geral Ritter Von Greim , who in the last days of WWII was made head of the Luftwaffe . One good quality , rare photo , shows a Ju 252 ..only 15 were built .

Albums starts with the original owners as a lad , then a few of  RAD service . other photos include plenty of the men , funeral services , grave sites and destruction .
