Bausch & Lomb SZ-4

Made in USA. This nice used Bausch & Lomb SZ-4 is a high quality zoom stereo body microscope that is in very good condition mechanically and optically. It is rated a 7/10 cosmetically. This microscope comes with a set of WF 20X eyepieces. The zoom range is 0.7x-3.0x, so combined with the WF20x eyepieces, the scope yields a magnification range of 20x-60x power. This scopes comes with a 0.5x barlow lens. With this lens the scopes working distance from the bottom of the scope to the subject is increased to 160mm so you can get your hands in there to work. The barlow lens works perfectly. It has has an ugly problem and some periphery chips on the outside edges of the lens but they do not appear in the field of view. The scope has good action and very good optics of course.

The microscope is in good condition optically, it was thoroughly tested and it works as intended with good optics and it provides an aligned, parfocal and focused image. Can be used in any B&L stand or holder. Just pop it into your other B&L desk stands, B&L Gemolite Gemscope or any Bausch and Lomb focus holder and you're ready to work. It was tested and is clean & ready to use. Look at the 12 images and judge for yourself. All lenses on this scope are clean and the controls are accurate.
