The Wonders of the World cards are loose with no
album but are a complete set of twenty five cards which are consecutively
numbered from 1 to 25. The cards are believed to have been issued in 1916 by
John Player & Sons. There is varying discolouration apparent to the cards
and various stains, dirt and foxing marks on them as well as some creases and
imprinted marks with some cards more noticeably affected than others. The edges
of the cards appear varyingly scuffed and worn with some indentation marks apparent
in them as well as some softening and rounding to the tips of the corners with
some cards more noticeably affected than others. There is some curving apparent
to the cards which is most noticeable when they are stacked together. The
approximate size of each card is 68mm x 36mm. The approximate combined weight
of the twenty five cards is 23g.
