The Glorious Britain cards are loose with no album and are an incomplete set of twenty cards. The cards are believed to have been issued by Cavanders Ltd in 1930 and are stereoscopic cards which are for use with Cavanders Ltd Camerascope (not included). The cards are thought to have originally come as a joined pair with some pairs now incomplete. The reference number on each pair of cards would be the same but each card would be designated either as Left or Right which would be the side they would be placed in when viewed through a Camerascope. The reference numbers and left or right designation of the cards are: 1 Left, 1 Right, 4 Left, 9 Right, 10 Left, 10 Right, 11 Left, 12 Right, 13 Left, 13 Right, 15 Left, 15 Right, 16 Left, 18 Right, 19 Left, 19 Right, 21 Left, 21 Right, 22 Left and 22 Right. Despite some pairs being complete it is thought likely that not all were originally joined together as there is some noticeable variance between some of the colours of the images on the front of the cards. There is varying discolouration to the cards and various stains, dirt and foxing marks on them as well as some scuffs, creases and imprinted marks with some cards more affected than others. The edges of the cards appear scuffed and worn with some indentation marks in them as well as some softening and rounding to the tips of the corners which appear varyingly dog-eared. A few of the cards appear torn on and adjacent to the edges where the pairs of cards were joined together with the card with the reference 22 Right being the most visibly affected. The cards are varyingly curved and bent which is particularly apparent when they are stacked together. The approximate size of each card is 51mm x 76mm. The approximate combined weight of the twenty cards is 24g.
