The Cries of London cards are loose with no album and consist of three incomplete sets of one large size second series card, twenty one medium size 1st series cards and one medium size 2nd series card. The large size second series card has the reference number 10. The twenty one medium size 1st series cards which includes seven duplicates have the reference numbers: 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21 and 24 with three cards being duplicates of the card with the reference number 19 and two cards being duplicates of the card with the reference number 24 as well as two cards which are duplicates of the cards which have the reference numbers 2 and 6. The medium size 2nd series card has the reference number 9. The large size 2nd series card is believed to have been issued by John Player & Sons in 1914. The medium size 1st series cards are believed to have been issued by John Player & Sons in 1912. The medium size 2nd series card is believed to have been issued by John Player & Sons in 1916. There is varying discolouration apparent to the large size 2nd series card and various attains, dirt and foxing marks on it as well as some creases and imprinted marks. The edges of the large size 2nd series card appear varyingly scuffed and worn with a few indention marks apparent in them as well as softening and rounding to the tips of the corners which appear dog-eared. The large size 2nd series card is curved. The approximate size of the large size 2nd series card is 67mm x 98mm. There is varying discolouration apparent to the medium size 1st series cards and various stains, dirt and foxing marks on them as well as various scuffs, creases and imprinted marks with the visual appearance of some cards more prominently and detrimentally affected than others as a result. The is obvious loss of printed detailing from the front and back of one of the two medium size 1st series cards which have the reference number 2 which is a result of the surface being torn. There is some loss of printed detailing from the front of the card with the reference number 3 which is a result of the surface being torn near the bottom edge. There is significant loss of printed detailing from the front and back of one of the two medium size 1st series cards which have the reference number 6 which is a result of the surface being torn and the top of the card is also torn which originates from the top edge. There is varying loss of detailing from the front and to a lesser extent the back of all three of the medium size 1st series cards with the reference number 24 as a result of the surface being torn and one of the cards is also partly torn at the bottom which originates from the bottom edge. The edges of the medium size 1st series cards are varyingly scuffed, softened and worn with some indentions apparent in them as well as rounding to the tips of the corners which appear varyingly dog-eared. The cards are varyingly curbed and bent which is most apparent when they are stacked together. There is some discolouration apparent to the medium size 2nd series card and some stains, dirt and foxing marks on it as well as some creases and imprinted marks. The edges of the medium size 2nd series card appears varyingly scuffed, softened and worn with a few indentions apparent in them as well as rounding to the tips of the corners which appear slightly dog-eared. The medium size 2nd series card is slightly curved. The approximate size of each of the medium size 1st series cards and the medium size 2nd series card is 36mm x68mm. The approximate combined weight of the twenty three cards is 22g.
