Presented is a lovely American coin silver pie, cake or flat server from the mid-1800s. Certainly made between 1845-1865, this piece displays stunning hand-engraved decorations along the serving end. The pattern details along the handle match the engraved design quite well. There is an inscription on the handle reading “Jennie to Anna”. It is certain that “... to Annie” was added later which is why the alignment of the engraving is off-center.

This piece is marked with the maker's mark for Wood and Hughes.

The server is in great condition. The engraved serving end is crisp and well-defined, and there is only slight wear to the pattern along the handle. There are no breaks, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
