For sale is a bottle stopper made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period (about 1927). It is in the form of a lady which I think might be Marie Antoinette. Left in the white to show off all the modeling detail it is quite a nice piece! The porcelain head is connected with a screw like metal piece to a cork which is still the original one! The cork has a decorative metal ring to the top that is golden in color - might be brass or gold plated or bronze. The cork is original and doesn't look like it was ever used. The porcelain head is in perfect condition as is the rest. The stopper is marked in the back with the under glaze blue crossed swords with the dot in between the tips. When you take the cork off the porcelain is marked with an incised 1. The entire piece is 3.5 inches tall. The cork is 1.625 inches long and 0.875 inches in diameter. The head is 1.75 inches tall and 1.375 inches wide. The metal screw is one inch long. Stopfer Flaschenstopfer German Germany 20thC Korken 20th century
