Antique 20thC KPM Berlin Porcelain Mantle Clock Porzellan Jugendstil Uhr German

This product data sheet is originally written in English.

For sale is a rare mantle clock made by KPM in the beginning of the 20th century right around 1900 in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil period . It comes in three pieces, the main clock with the vase attached to the top, a lid and a base. The piece has a superb shape to it with a cherub head and wings to either side and lots of molded scroll work and detail. Most of the trim is in pink and puce but there is a bit of green trim right around the clock part in the front. Under the front and back there is a superb floral garland and each side has a nice flower arrangement as well two single smaller flowers. The urn on top has a few single small flowers all around as does the base. The clock part appears to be bronze with a porcelain face and gold letters with a bit of gold trim around the center. The hands have been replaced with nice looking plastic ones. The old ones were shot. I have the clock serviced and it works perfectly now. Took a bit of work. The movement, pendulum, etc. all look to be original and are really nice. Just the hands are new. The porcelain parts are all in perfect condition with possible a spot of minor wear or the tiniest of nibbles I might have missed but all in all the clock looks perfect and works perfectly as well. I do have a key that fits perfectly but I have no idea if it is original to the clock. The movement appears to be a ten day movement but I'll wind it again and see. It definitely lasted nine days from when I picked it up from being serviced. We'll see when it stops and I'll update it if need be. The entire clock including the base and lid is about 15 inches tall, 7.375 inches wide at the base and 6 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the blue scepter as well as the red orb mark and the usual other marks as shown. The base is also marked as shown. 20thC 19thC 19th century Germany
