These are brand new replacement amplifier boards for the Quad 33 control unit/preamplifier.

They fit perfectly into the original sockets, and have been assembled and individually tested in the UK by a qualified electronic engineer. Installing these boards is easy - just remove the two screws on the back of the Quad 33, remove the original board and slot this in.

All the components that have been used are high quality, including 1% tolerance metal film resistors all round, MKT polyester capacitors, and 105°C rated electrolytic capacitors with plenty of margin in the voltage ratings.

The double-sided circuit boards give extra contact surface area, and the yellow solder mask complements the original appearance of the Quad 33.

It is possible to customise the gain you would like the boards to have. At present I am offering:
If you decrease the gain of these boards, you will have to increase the gain of the disc (phono) amplifier to compensate.

In other terms, records will play much quieter than normal if you don't modify another board!

I can provide advice on doing this, but if you are not comfortable soldering I strongly suggest you stick with the original gain.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any doubts, questions or issues before or after purchase.
