This is the Opportunity of a Lifetime! - First time ever offered for sale!
Offered for Sale is a pair of two (2) Posters for the first Warlocks shows, ever!
The poster for the Warlocks at Magoos Pizza Parlor on May 5, 1965 is the first show ever played & measures approx. 10 1/4" by 11". It is printed on thick paper.
(Note: This is a piece of Artwork, not just a poster. It has psychedelic colors in spray paint in the background.)
It is One of a Kind & the only one known to exist.
The poster for the Warlocks on June 18th at Frenchy's was Phil Lesh's FIRST show with the Warlocks and this show was the Warlocks 3rd show played. It is printed on thick paper and measures approx. 9" x 9 3/4".
(Note: This is also an original piece of Artwork, not just a poster. When Dennis King of D. King Galleries reviewed these items in 2009, he stated to me that these were made as pieces of artwork. Dennis was easily convinced they were all original items from 1965.)

Both of these posters were obtained from the original owner who obtained them at the time of the events, Harvey Pollard. Harvey attended Menlo College, but not much is known about him. Unfortunately, Harvey passed away during the time the collection of Warlocks material was being purchased from him. I was paying a lot of money for these items & Harvey was an opium addict, due to a stint in Vietnam. He overdosed right before the last piece was obtained. Since I had paid good $$ for the Warlocks Magoos poster, Harvey GIFTED me the Frenchy's poster. Personally, I believe the value of EACH of these items is at a minimum of $60,000 but since the Frenchy's poster was a gift, I'm passing this on to the new lucky owner by offering two for the price of one.
I offer a LIFETIME Guarantee that Both of these Posters are original and were made in 1965, as suggested by their advertising.
I cannot say for certain that either of these posters were hung up at the event, but I can assure with certainly, they were not mass made or produced to put on telephone poles. These events did not have any advertising, other than through free local college papers or at the event itself behind glass, either inside or outside the event location. I do not know who created them.
In 2022, I hired Joseph Barabe, a professional Research Microscopist in Document & Art analysis to investigate the way these items were made. I paid $3000.00 for this work to be performed. Attached is the research analysis for both Warlocks Posters.
The prices of Psychedelic concert posters are rising at an astronomical rate. In the whole world of psychedelic music, the Grateful Dead is at the forefront. The Warlocks were the band that Jerry started that played at the VERY FIRST ACID TESTS on Nov, 1965 before changing their name to the Grateful Dead in January, prior to the Fillmore Mime Troupe Event & 4th Acid Test at the Fillmore. The first 3 Acid Tests were performed by the Warlocks. These posters are some of the most collectable items in all of rock and roll memorabilia, bound to increase in value substantially in the coming years.
