THE CAKE EATER is one of a series of comedy “two reelers” that Rogers filmed for the Hal Roach Studio in the early 1920’s. From the Blackhawk Films catalog: “Selected by the ranch’s new owners as their ideal cowboy, Will became the butt of his fun-loving friends’ pranks. But when the spinsters decide that the way to his heart is through his stomach, Will’s really in trouble.”

Print is a lightly used Blackhawk Films print on 8mm b&w silent film stock, mounted on a 400’ metal reel and stored in a matching metal can.
