sony dat recorder Tcd-d8

Got this off a relative.

I know very little about these ,comes in a case with what i believe to be a control box , it has outputs to power the dat(working) muli pin dat remote, slim op,dat audio in. There is a record switch. Outputs and inputs on the outside of the case. The dat itself is in excellent condition, no mars or wear, it came with a brand new sealed tape which i photographed before opening it to test the dat ,after reading an online manual i recorded music on to it and played it back,the fast forward and rewind work altho i could only rewind after pressing the forward button, again i have never used one before so it may have been something i was doing wrong . It also comes with the original sony power supply (working) i have tested it with batteries and it works perfectly i have listed it as parts or not working as there may be things i haven't the knowledge to test.
