Southern rock pioneers The Allman Brothers Band formed in 1969, FIFTY FIVE years ago, in Jacksonville, Florida. Two brothers were the nucleus: Duane and Gregg Allman. They also had, in the band, talented musicians like Berry Oakley on bass, drummers Jaimoe and Butch Trucks, and Dickey Betts on guitar. The band made Macon, Georgia their new base of operations, and was an integral and influential part of southern rock!

This past April 18th, Dickey Betts lost his battle with cancer, and passed away. That leaves only Jaimoe as the original Allman Brothers member still with us. (RIP Duane, Gregg, Butch, Berry, and Dickey. You guys influenced countless other artists with your music, and we know you are up there, jamming together, and having a good time. All of you are missed!)

THIRTY years ago, in 1994, The Allman Brothers released the last studio album with Dickey Betts, and titled it 'Where It All Begins'. The artwork is great, and features the colorful mushrooms that the band became known for (and frequently used). The album features Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe from the original lineup, with help from Warren Hayes, Allen Woody, and Marc Quiñones.

The album had a poster flat released to promote it. These are usually the artwork from the album cover, on a flat surface, and often made using the same material as an actual album jacket (though not as thick). The back has written info, usually the year and sometimes song titles (or singles' titles). These were sent to record shops mostly, and on occasion, radio stations. They have no vinyl added to them.

Up for grabs today is a copy of that poster flat, for the '94 album 'Where It All Begins', with the beautiful artwork from the cover! In great condition, with no holes, rips, tears, or handwriting on it. A very cool collectible, to admire, and to remember Dickey Betts. I'll send this in between two pieces of cardboard, in a record mailer, with an album or jacket, so I can ship Media Mail. Available now, and at a nice price!
