This product data sheet is originally written in English.
For sale is a lonely lid probably for a sugar pot or a large ointment pot or such item and was made in France in the 18th century. The design suggests a maker like Locre but not being marked it is hard to be sure. The piece is hand painted with a floral arrangement to one side and two larger single flowers filling in the rest of the piece. Nice gold trim to the edge and a fruit finial that is gilded. It's a nice early piece and if you have one missing this would be a rare occasion to make your piece complete again. The lid is in superb condition with the most minor of wear and a few small firing flaws plus a larger firing crack on the underside center only as shown but as nice as they come for it's age and style. Unmarked which is very normal when you just have a lid. The piece is 0.75 inc
