We are selling off much of our private collection of vintage fabric and other cherished items. We have moved mum in to care for and we need the space. We have an extensive collection of vintage fabric & clothing which has been stored in plastic boxes for 25+ years in the family attic. Plus I was a set & wardrobe designer on music videos, commercials and films in Los Angeles & London. Some of the older fabrics that were on the bolt were taken off and put in boxes, but the fabric wasn't washed until I used it. I will not wash it, but some fabrics are over 70+ years and will need a good soak from years of dust.

I have a simple recipe using Vanish regular no bleach. with a bit of Dawn, (ie, UK Fairy liquid,)

The trick people miss people miss out is that it needs to be activated with a bit of boiling water in a measuring cup, which  activates it and makes it foam up. I than add it to a basin of cool water before adding the fabrics and stir. It really brings the fabric back to life with out ruining  the vintage fabrics with harsh detergents and definitely never in a washing.  I soak in a hand basin over night and air dry after rinsing in cool water. Just a little tip I have learnt from using vintage fabrics for decades.

All items are sold as is, some items are RARE and over 70 years old and We try our best to point out any faults! No returns accepted, unless broken in the post with photo attached. Please make sure you want it or PLEASE ask questions before. We are not a business, we am selling off much of our family vintage collectibles and fabrics. We take great pride in wrapping our vintage parcels, as we do not want them to be damaged in transit. We use packing foam, bubble wrap, peanuts and baggies, and other packing materials. I do combine postage, but sometimes it isn’t as easy as one thinks as you have to wrap everything well. There is a small fee for materials in the postage. It isn’t much, I sent all my parcels signed for, tracked and insured to ensure the customer receives it. Postage has gone up, its the same for a small box or item that isn’t small or large envelope, that won’t fit through a letter box , so are considered small parcels. There has also been price increases on 13% Ebay, 2.5% Paypal & VAT fees which are not shown in the listings, and they add up
