Fender Stratocaster | Made in Japan | 1988-1989 | Brand New Thomann Hard Case

This is an incredible vintage Japanese Fender Stratocaster in really nice condition complete with brand new Thomann hard case.

The guitar was built at the Fuji-Gen Plant in Japan between 1988-1989, and has been modified with the following:

• Sonic Ranger active circuitry vastly increasing the tonal range of a traditional Strat (see photos for a more detailed description).
• A Seymour Duncan Classic Stack pickup in the bridge position.
• A Hipshot Tremsetter which greatly improves the accuracy of the standard Strat floating tremolo.
• Jim Dunlop strap locks

The frets are in really good shape and the guitar plays superbly with a great action. I have just polished the frets, cleaned the neck, and restrung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies (10s) so the guitar is ready to rock. The guitar weighs in at 3.7kg (8lb 3oz).

There is some slight buckle rash to the back of the body, and polishing swirls / light surface scratching to the front (it’s 35 years old!) but there are no major dinks or chips. The fretboard has some genuine natural wear which looks fantastic (as opposed to some artificially reliced guitars IMHO!)

Tuning is rock solid and the guitar has Gotoh tuners.

All the electrics have been cleaned and work perfectly (no drop outs or crackles). The Sonic Ranger gives the guitar a massive range of options from traditional Strat to huge high output fat sounding humbucker tones.

The guitar will be well packaged and posted on a fully tracked ParcelForce service.
