Mavic Crossmax Retro 26” Ceramic MTB Wheels For Rim Brakes

When Mavic launched the Crossmax ,it was a revelation being lighter and stronger than

Traditional hand build wheels.

This is, I believe, the second generation version characterised by the flat aluminium spokes. They feature ceramic braking surfaces and are tubeless ready without any additional rim tape - just add valves and tubeless ready tyres.

They are in great original condition with light marks and scratches as you’d expect. Crucially 95% of the ceramic surface is still an excellent condition. There is a ~10cm section on the front wheel where three patches missing (see photo 7) and two ~7mm diameter patches are missing on the non drive side (located at 4 and 9 O’clock on photo 13)

The wheels run straight and true with silky smooth bearings and will accept MTB cassettes up to 11-speed.

The original QR skewers are included and only have a few light scratches.

The rims are 19mm wide internally and 23mm externally. I ran them with 2.25” tubeless Bontrager tyres (also listed) and they worked brilliantly.
