We also have place settings, serving dishes, butter dish, gravy dish with plate, salt/pepper, and creamer/sugar set in other listings, until sold.

These dishes were obtained by saving grocery store stamps and/or getting a free one in a soap box. Stores like Kmart and Sears brought them back in the 1970s, even so, those reproductions are over 40 years old. The classic design is very recognizable and has made them a popular collector's item. Royal China's Currier and Ives dishes are curious in that they have a scene for the dinner plates (Grist Mill), a different scene for 9 1/8" soup bowls (Maple Sugaring), pie plates (Snowy Morning), 13" oval platter (The Winter Farm), Saucer (Low Mississippi Steam boat), Tea Cups (Woman in Buggy), Butter (Sleigh Ride), Plate with tabs (The Rocky Mountains), Gravy and Gravy plate with tabs (Sleigh Ride and The Well), 12" Round Platter (Harvesting Ice), 6 3/8" bread plate (Harvest, bringing in the sheaves), 8 3/8" soup bowl (Early Winter), Cream and Sugar (Train and Steamboat, respectively), 5 1/2" berry bowl (The Old Farm Gate, children on gate), 7 1/4" salad plate (George Washington's Birthplace Cabin), Coffee Mugs and Salt and Pepper (Fast moving buggy Turnouts in Central Park), and so on. So, Royal China company added the Currier and Ives scene that best fit the piece and they all go together beautifully!
