Here is one of 2 RfD class 86 "nearly finished" project locos. Numbered 86611 "Airey Neave" in original RfD livery.
The loco has been resprayed to a very good standard, detailed and weathered.
Replacement pantographs have been fitted, as well as headcode box fittings, etched plates and flush glazing.
The body clips have been removed and the holes filled. Consequently the body is loose-fitted.
The chassis has been re-worked using a Heljan class 33 mechanism to give extremely smooth running.
Holes have been drilled in each end for LED lighting, but this is not fitted.
