  • Beschreibung: Skizzenhafte Szene zweier Wikingerkriger beim Schwertkampf am Strand nahe eines Drachenschiffes. Die Zeichnung stammt aus einer Sammlung von Historien- und Sagendarstellungen mit nordischen Szenen und Themen aus der Hand des dänischen Künstlers Rondahl, der sich besonders als Zeichner einen Namen gemacht hat. Er lieferte die Entwürfe für zahlreiche historische, archäologische und literarische Schriften.

  • Description: Sketchy scene of two Viking warriors fighting with swords on the beach near a dragon ship. The drawing is from a collection of history and saga depictions with Nordic scenes and themes from the hand of the Danish artist Rondahl, who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings.

  • Condition: Very good condition. The sheet is slightly discoloured due to its age. The corners of the sheet are minimally bumped and partly torn.
