For sale is a tea pot made at the Hague / Haag from the Netherlands in the 18th century . The pot is hand painted with a nice polychrome floral arrangement to either side, a single small flower below the spout, puce and gold trim to the handle, gold trim to the spout, a tiny floral arrangement to the lid as well as two even smaller single flowers and a nicely done floral finial including it's bud, stem and a leaf. Gold trim to the edge of the lid. My favorite part is the applied 3D flowers to all four directions of the spout and the terminals of the handle. I have not seen that before and really like it. They are also hand painted nicely. All in all a superb example and its nice to have a piece that is not a cup and saucer or plate. The pot is in good condition with a touch of gold wear around the lid edge which is to be expected and some minor chipping to the end of the spout. There is an old firing crack where the spout attached to the main body from when it was made. Some nibbling to the floral finial and one spot of flaking of the blue paint in one of the flowers. It is displays perfectly and looks amazing. The piece is marked with the over glaze blue stork mark carrying the eel and an impressed letter L. I assume it is an Ansbach made blank that they decorated. The pot is 4.5 inches tall, 8 inches from handle to spout and 4.75 inches in diameter. Netherlands Holland Teekanne Blumenmotif
