A Wileman Foley China (Shelley) nursery ware mug & matching plate. C.1895+. 

Interesting nursery ware duo consisting of a mug and matching side plate. Transfer decoration of 2 young girls playing with a donkey. White ground. Gilt trims.   

The back stamp is the 1895-1910 mark. 

Dimensions: diameter of mug base 79mm (3.1 inches) / diameter across top of mug 76mm (3 inches) / height of mug 79mm (3.2 inches) / diameter of side plate 145mm (5.75 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Rubbing to gilding on top rim of mug and edge of side plate commensurate with age. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
