A Wileman Foley China (Shelley) nursery ware mug & matching plate. C.1895+. 

Interesting nursery ware duo consisting of a mug and matching side plate. Transfer decoration of 3 young girls in a field with a sheep. White ground. Gilt trims.   

The back stamp is the 1895-1910 mark. 

Dimensions: diameter of mug base 67mm (2.7 inches) / diameter across top of mug 69mm (2.75 inches) / height of mug 72mm (2.75 inches) / diameter of side plate 146mm (5.75 inches).

Condition: Side plate has a miniscule flea bite to the underside rim (see photo) otherwise both pieces are in very good clean condition with no other chips, cracks or crazing. Rubbing to gilding on top rim of mug and edge of side plate commensurate with age. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
