Diese wurde in den Jahren 1864-1873 als Nationaldenkmal der Einigungskriege nach einem Entwurf von Heinrich Strack erbaut. Sie ist eines der Wahrzeichen Berlins. Yvan ROYON (*1938) ist Maler, Zeichner, Aquarellmaler und Radierer. Er lebt und arbeitet in Brügge, Belgien. Seine Arbeiten bestechen ebenso als Miniaturen, wie im größeren Format und legen Zeugnis ab vom aufmerksamen Studium der Architektur, der Stadtlandschaft wie der Natur.

  • Description: monogrammed below the image, titled "Berlin/Siegeßäule". View of the Victory Column at the Großer Stern in Berlin's Tiergarten. This was built in the years 1864-1873 as a national monument to the wars of unification according to a design by Heinrich Strack. It is one of Berlin's landmarks. Yvan ROYON (*1938) is a painter, draughtsman, watercolourist and etcher. He lives and works in Bruges, Belgium. His works are captivating both as miniatures and in larger format and bear witness to his attentive study of architecture, the urban landscape and nature.
