  • Beschreibung: Mittig unterhalb der Darstellung betitelt; unterhalb der Darstellung links innerhalb der Platte bezeichnet: "Rouargue frères del. 8C sc.". Darunter: "Publié par Furne, à Paris". Sehr detailreiche und feine Darstellung; der Betrachter erblickt in leichter Untersicht die prächtige Schlossanlage, die sich auf einer Anhöhe erhebt. Im Vordergrund flanieren vornehm gekleidete Damen und Männer mit Zylinder im Barockgarten des Schlosses, sitzen auf einer Bank oder im Gras und unterhalten sich. Das Schloss Saint-Geramain-en-Laye ist in der französischen Stadt Saint-Germain-en-Laye im Département Yvelines, ca. 19 Kilometer westlich von Paris gelegen. Bis ins 17. Jahrhundert diente es als Residenz der französischen Könige, bis Ludwig XIV 1682 mit seinem Hof nach Versailles umzog.

  • Description: Titled in the centre below the depiction; inscribed below the depiction on the left within the plate: "Rouargue frères del. 8C sc.". Below: "Publié par Furne, à Paris". Very detailed and fine depiction; the viewer sees the magnificent castle complex rising on a hill in a slight view from below. In the foreground, nobly dressed ladies and men in top hats are strolling in the baroque garden of the castle, sitting on a bench or in the grass and talking. Saint-Geramain-en-Laye Castle is located in the French town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye in the department of Yvelines, about 19 kilometres west of Paris. It served as the residence of French kings until the 17th century, when Louis XIV moved his court to Versailles in 1682.
