  • Beschreibung: Rechts oben oberhalb der Darstellung auf Platte nummeriert "21." Von Weinranken umgeben öffnet sich der Blick auf ein großes Fass. Vorne zapft ein Mann mit Kappe den Wein, eine Frau steht wartend links daneben, den Bottich zur Abfüllung bereits erhoben. Oben füllt ein Cupido Trauben nach und zerstampft sie mit den nackten Füßen. In einer kleinen Wirtshausszene hinten links schenkt ein Trinker dem anderen ein, rechts steht ein einzelner Herr mit seinem Becher und betrachtet die Zapfszene im Vordergrund. Die Radierung stammt aus einem 1875 erschienenen Album mit 42 kleinformatigen Radierungen von Moritz von Schwind und Gedichten/Versen Ernst Freiherr von Feuchterslebens zum Thema "Rauchen" und "Trinken" (In vino veritas). Der erläuternde Text zu dieser Darstellung im Album lautet: "Solche Fässer muss man loben: wie's auch unten lustig quillt, wird - o freuet euch" - von oben immer wieder aufgefüllt. Gerne sei der Danaiden ewig rinnend Fass gefüllt, würde doch nur einem Müden auch dadurch sein Durst gestillt."

  • Description: Numbered "21." on the plate at the upper right above the depiction. Surrounded by vines, the view opens onto a large barrel. In front a man with a cap is drawing the wine, a woman stands waiting to the left, the vat already raised for bottling. Above, a cupid is refilling grapes and crushing them with his bare feet. In a small pub scene at the back left one drinker is pouring for another, on the right a single gentleman is standing with his cup and watching the tapping scene in the foreground. The etching is from an album published in 1875 with 42 small-format etchings by Moritz von Schwind and poems/verses by Ernst Freiherr von Feuchtersleben on the subject of "smoking" and "drinking" (In vino veritas). The explanatory text for this depiction in the album reads: "Such barrels must be praised: however it wells up merrily at the bottom, it is - o freuet euch" - always refilled from above. Gladly be the Danaiden ewig rinnend Fass gefüllt, würde doch nur eines Müden auch dadurch seine Durst quenched."
